GL Homes is responsible for building more than 10 communities in the greater Boynton Beach area, so when company officials heard that a local school was in need, they were quick to help.
When the new Sunset Palms Elementary School opened in August in suburban Boynton Beach, the school's goal was to have four computers in every classroom, but it only had the budget for three. GL Homes gave the school $5,000 to buy five Dell computers, which will bring the school one step closer to its goal.
"West Boynton has been wonderful to us," said Maya Rosenblum, community relations and marketing coordinator for GL Homes. "So we love to give back." The company also has donated money to the Caridad Center, a nonprofit in suburban Boynton Beach that provides free medical and dental care to migrant workers in Palm Beach County.
