If you're in the mood to get out and do something different,
you might enjoy spending the day at GL Homes' Valencia Lakes, a

If you'd rather spend a whole weekend at Valencia Lakes, you'll have
plenty to do and much to see. For $99, you can spend three days and two
nights relaxing in a luxurious single family model home getting to know
the community and enjoying the amenities, through GL Homes' Dream Stay
and Play package. A lifestyle director will help you plan your stay and
present you with passes to local events and activities.
"There really isn't any other community like Valencia Lakes on the
west coast of Florida," says Lufkin, about the community that was
created solely for active adults 55 and older.
No other community offers so many amenities and such great value,
Lufkin says. Valencia Lakes is known for its vast variety of fun
activities, like pickle ball, billiards, horseshoes, tennis and jewelry
designing. Concerts and shows are also frequently presented in their
impressive theater. A few amenities include a massage therapist on the
premises, resort style swimming pool, a 27,000-square foot clubhouse
with a café, full fitness center, social hall with dance floor and
raised stage, card rooms, a billiards room and an arts and crafts

Another great feature of Valencia Lakes, especially for those
investigating the possibilities of home ownership, is that no other
community has as many models available for viewing, Lufkin adds. Before
they were bought by new residents, 12 model homes were featured at
Valencia Lakes, which Lufkin says is unprecedented. Most new
developments have just two or three homes on display, she explains.
"Presentation has always been important to us at GL Homes. We carry
that through, from the main entrance to every detail in the community.
When we do something, we want it done the biggest, the best, the most
impressive," Lufkin says. "We want our buyers to be proud of living in a
GL community and they do have a lot of pride."
Residents enjoy showing off Valencia Lakes by bringing their friends
to see the models and making a day of it, Lufkin says. Many of the home
sales at the community are due to referrals.
"We've continued to sell in a market that's been stressed. We've

Homes already built and those that will be built to order at Valencia
Lake cost between $154,900 and $331,900 and are offered in a variety of
styles and sizes, from 1,321 to 2,866 square feet. One story and two
story homes are available, each featuring a two or three car garage.
A special GL Homes incentive allows homebuyers to save $3,000 to $9,000 on closing costs, depending on the home.

open for viewing Saturdays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and
