MENTALIST and more

Festivities were enjoyed by the residents of Valencia Bay during the Labor Day Weekend celebration. An indoor BBQ was hosted by our own Bay Café, bringing together neighbors, friends and families for an afternoon of great fun, delicious food and home grown entertainment! A special performance was put on for residents by the Valencia Bay Dance Club and Valencia Bay Band Club. Rumor has it that Elvis was in the building too! Residents also loved Mentalmania, a special show featuring Mentalist Mark Stone. A packed house enjoyed a wonderful evening of comedy, ESP and mind-reading, leaving residents stunned by his ability to do the impossible! Super memory, telekinesis, clairvoyancy and mind reading were just some of the talents which left the crowd scratching their heads and saying, how does he do it?!

Trivia Night & Football Fun

August was a very busy month in the Bay, and residents of Valencia participated in several events. The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Department led a very informative, interactive, and educational CPR training class that had residents learning in no time. Trivia Night was filled with lots of fun, learning and more importantly, making new friends! For most of the game many teams were within just a few points of each other, but the prize ultimately went to “Let’s Get Quizable” Team #3. The Clubhouse patio bar is preparing for football season, and for the months of September and October will offer a free beer with food purchase to folks wearing College or NFL team jerseys on their respective game days. Stop by to catch the game broadcast live on the TV's at the poolside bar at Valencia Bay!

Mix-n-Mingle & Movie Night

Valencia Bay residents enjoyed a fun-filled month from the start, with a July 4th poolside barbeque hosted by the Bay Café, great music, and friendly company. Movie night this month was a smashing success, and residents enjoyed “The Greatest Showman” as well as “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” The ladies of Valencia Bay enjoyed a Ladies Night Out at the Patio Bar for dinner and drink specials. On July 18th, residents enjoyed dinner and a mix-n-mingle happy hour, followed by an entertaining evening of jukebox bingo, a game night which mixed music, trivia, and sing-along. Two lucky winners per game took home great prizes.

Summertime & The Living is Easy

Summer is officially here and things are heating up at Valencia Bay! On June 8th, residents attended the highly anticipated CHEF ERIC: LIVE, a resident mixer with live pianist. Homeowners were treated to culinary delights and the highlight of the evening was a live cooking demonstration, which taught the 80 residents in attendance how to prepare a gourmet Tuna Ceviche. It was certainly a wonderful evening capped off with scrumptious desserts, coffee and great company. The Valencia Bay Women's Tennis Team won the Princess III Division League Championships; and just in time for Father's Day, grandparents, parents and children enjoyed a family day together in the Art Studio. On June 20th, Valencia Bay’s very own band treated “minglers” to a poolside concert, where over 100 residents and guests came out to enjoy the great music, delicious food, and festive atmosphere.

Movie Madness and Memorial Day

This month Valencia Bay introduced movie night with popcorn and soda, featuring Shape of Water and Father Figures. Both events had a huge turnout and movie nights will continue to be hosted regularly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. Residents also enjoyed a fantastic night of refreshments and entertainment with the musical comedy act “Suzi Cruz: An Act to Remember.” Residents and their guests were also invited to an enjoyable evening of wine glass painting. On Memorial Day, over 150 residents and guests enjoyed a poolside BBQ, with delicious beverages and a live DJ.

Margaritaville and 1970's Disco Night

Valencia Bay residents dressed to impress in their favorite island attire and gathered poolside with DJ Steve Michaels for a trip to Margaritaville this month. A taste of the tropics was enjoyed by all featuring Caribbean-inspired cuisine, key lime pie, and of course margaritas! Later in April, residents traveled back in time to the days of Studio 54 for 1970’s Disco Night. Homeowners broke out their bell-bottoms and danced the night away to funky music, making it a night to remember!

Valencia Bay Clubhouse Now Open for Fun

Hundreds of Valencia Bay homeowners lined up for the grand opening of the stunning 33,000 square foot Clubhouse this month. The celebration lasted all day as residents joined in for a live Zumba demonstration on the social hall’s grand stage, painting class in the arts and crafts room, friendly poker games in the card rooms, and relaxed with friends poolside. Valencia Bay’s residents now enjoy the best of the luxury 55+ lifestyle daily!

Happy Hour and "Nosh" with Neighbors

Residents at Valencia Bay recently gathered to socialize at a “Happy Hour & Nosh” event at the community center. The event was well attended by 50 neighbors and friends who especially enjoyed the picture perfect weather on the waterfront outdoor patio. Upbeat music filled the air, including favorites from Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry, and attendees were treated to delicious “nosh” – pasta salad, assorted cheese and deli meats, garden fresh veggie platters, desserts and more.

"Bingo at The Bay" and "The Arts in You"

Valencia Bay residents enjoyed a busy November with several very successful events. “Bingo at the Bay” drew a packed house for wacky-style Bingo held in the community center. Residents enjoyed meeting new neighbors over games and “Did you know” trivia. There were lots of laughs and many winners. For yet another popular edition of “The Arts in You,” master artist Sophia Vigne, guided eager painters through an art class for all levels. The subject this month was a beautiful flower arrangement, which residents can enjoy for years to come in the paintings they brought home.

Wine Tasting, Charity, and Fun with Furry Friends

It’s been a fun-filled month at Valencia Bay! Residents enjoyed an outing to the Gulfstream Casino with plenty of game play, dining, and shopping. For many new homeowners, this was their first offsite event, and a great time was had by all. On October 11th, the community enjoyed a wine tasting and food paring event, which was fun, informative, and particularly helpful for learning about how to pair food and wine, just in time for the Holidays. On Halloween, proud pet owners participated in a pet costume contest, with awards given to the best dressed pooches. Valencia Bay also helped raise funds for the Caridad Center of Boynton Beach –an organization that provides medical and dental care to uninsured low income workers in Palm Beach County.

Baseball, Tai Chi, and more Painting!

Valencia Bay homeowners enjoyed a month full of events and activities, starting with a free Tai Chi demonstration at the Community center and an “Arts in You” hosted painting party for an afternoon of creativity and fun. To wrap the month up residents, enjoyed an outing to Miami to watch the NY Mets take on the Miami Marlins. A luxurious limo bus ride to the Marlins Park was followed by a meet and greet with Marlins Representative Mario Signarello, who escorted all guests into the game. Everyone enjoyed a great night out with their friends and neighbors, a great time was had by all!


Valencia Bay is growing, with new homes closing every day! The community center has become a popular hub for friendships, both new and old, to develop. Pickleball, bocce, ping pong, canasta, and mah jongg are being offered on a regular basis and residents are organizing game nights with Pictionary, Tribond, and Scrabble being popular choices. The number of tennis round robin players continues to grow weekly. Both the breakfast mixer and the “Painting Party with Arts in You” received high turnouts and very favorable receptions. Stay tuned for twilight tennis, pizza night, a wine and cheese tennis reception, and a racket demo in September.


Valencia Lakes kicked off the month with dancing and a live band at an independence party on July 1st. On July 4th, members of the Golf Cart Club decorated their golf carts for a patriotic golf cart parade through the community. Residents enjoyed a pool party and barbeque and the Valencia Singers chorus held a live concert for all. Coming up: name that tune trivia.


The community center just opened at Valencia Bay and residents already have a full calendar of events and activities to look forward to! For the 4th of July, neighbors got to know one another at an Independence Day housewarming party. The community center was packed with guests enjoying food catered by Lucille’s Bad to the Bone BBQ. Tennis round robins have begun and are being held every Friday at 8:30 am. Mark your calendars for August, a breakfast mixer and painting party are up next!!


Residents of Valencia Bay had a ball at the opening of the racquet club, pro shop, and community center! After a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests participated in a tennis round robin and enjoyed a pickelball demonstration, refreshments, and live DJ. With the addition of tennis, bocci, pickelball, and basketball, there are now more ways than ever before to keep busy at Valencia Bay!


The fun times never end at Valencia Lakes! To celebrate the community’s creativity, residents were invited to sell and shop homemade arts and crafts at the Residents Art Sale on June 17th. The Social Hall was filled with handcrafted jewelry, pottery, wood carvings, paintings and more, and a great time was had by all. For Fathers’ Day, a “Blues, Brews, and BBQ” event was hosted poolside and featured a live blues band, beers, and barbeque. The event marked the third ever Father’s Day event at Valencia Lakes and was a huge success. To wrap the month up, 325 residents came out to play bingo on June 24th. Due to popular demand, bingo will be held monthly instead of quarterly.


What an action-packed past couple of weeks at Valencia Lakes! To kick things off, residents gathered for a Cinco de Mayo fiesta, complete with a taco bar and DJ. The fun continued the following day with a Kentucky Derby event that featured a “best hat” contest, betting games, and plenty of great food.

The community’s very own Military Club organized a touching Memorial Day morning ceremony with a speech given by residents who are members of a Gold Star family. A barbeque lunch and pool volleyball were the highlight of the afternoon.

Other exciting events: a Mother’s Day breakfast on May 14th in celebration of all mothers everywhere, a luau-themed “Island Night” where neighbors danced to the tropical sounds of a steel drum and DJ set, and a “drag queen bingo” charity event thrown at Hamburger Mary’s.


span class="s1">Valencia Lakes residents enjoyed a Casino Night and played to win "funny money" throughout the night. Gaming included Black Jack, Texas Hold ‘Em, Roulette, Craps and Slots. At the end of the night they cashed in their funny money for raffle tickets. Great prizes
were raffled including gift cards, a cooler, tablet and more. It was a win-win for all.
